Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt is a land of wonder and intrigue! Located on the northeastern side of the continent of Africa. It surrounds the Nile River and borders the Mediterranean and Red Sea. The nomatic people that would later help form the foundation of Egyptian culture began settling along the Nile to become small farming communities during the predynastic period (starting around 6000 B.C.E).  This blog will introduce some of the technologies created along the Nile, specifically ancient farming and shipbuilding techniques. These two techniques had a lasting influence on the development of Ancient Egyptian society; with the development of a reliable agricultural based economy and the opportunities for trade with sophisticated ships the ancient Egyptian civilization flourished.

  1. I enjoyed the video you have to introduce the topic of agriculture along the Nile. There are a few grammatical errors that should be addressed, but overall, I think that you do portray the message well. You do have a couple of links to go to other websites, but for the videos especially, I think it would be better to have those imbedded in the webpage so that the viewer does not have to leave your website at all. Additionally, I think it is important to explain why you focused on agricultural techniques as well as shipbuilding. Even just a few sentences to describe the relationship between the two topics could help your viewer to better understand the significance each had in Ancient Egypt.
